How to Add a Trusted Contact to Your Account

Adding a trusted contact to your Morgan Stanley accounts can help protect your personal and financial information.

With scams on the rise, protecting your assets and personal information remains our top priority. One way to protect yourself or your loved ones’ accounts from fraud and financial scams is to add a trusted contact. A trusted contact is a person you designate to be contacted if we are unable to reach you or if there are concerns regarding your well-being or potential financial exploitation.

It is important to note that a trusted contact does not have permission to access account details, make decisions or perform any actions on your behalf. This individual serves as an additional layer of defense in case issues arise.

How To Add a Trusted Contact to Your Morgan Stanley Account(s)

Follow these steps or click here to add a trusted contact to your Morgan Stanley accounts. You can also contact a member of your Morgan Stanley team or the Morgan Stanley Client Services Center at 1-888-454-3965.

Using the Morgan Stanley Online website:
- On the top right corner of the home page, click on “Profile” then click on “Profile + Settings”
- Under “Account Settings”, click on “Trusted Contacts”
- Click on “Add Trusted Contact”
- Complete the “New Trusted Contact” form with details of the Trusted Contact you wish to add
Using the Morgan Stanley Mobile App:
- On the bottom bar, press “Menu”
- Press “Profile + Settings”
- Under “Account Settings”, press “Trusted Contacts”
- Choose which account you’d like to add a Trusted Contact to
- Press “Add Trusted Contact”
- Complete the form with details of the Trusted Contact you wish to add
