When women tell their stories, it can often be the inspiration for other women to take action. Women taking action and making positive change in the world is the storyline behind MAKERS.com, a digital and TV initiative that celebrates women of accomplishment.
Launched in 2012 with the stories of 100 groundbreaking women, today it is the largest collection of women’s stories ever assembled. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is contributing to the growing list by naming its own MAKERS, recognizing 15 women whose talent and dedication – at work, at home and in the community – have helped to solidify Morgan Stanley’s position as an industry leader.
"We are filled with pride in the talent and impact that our professionals bring to clients, colleagues, shareholders and our communities every day,” said Gregory Fleming, President of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Investment Management. “These women truly personify dedication and excellence."
This is the second consecutive year that Morgan Stanley Wealth Management has partnered with MAKERS. Read about our 2014 inaugural class, which includes Sara Furber, Head of Institutional and Strategic Solutions; Lisa Golia, Chief Administration Officer; Carla Harris, Vice Chairman of Wealth Management; and Shelley O’Connor, Head of Field Management.
True to Morgan Stanley's culture of inclusion and mutual respect, MAKERS are nominated by colleagues and selected by a panel of leaders based on their service as innovators, groundbreakers and advocates. Out of 400 nominations detailing inspirational stories of 182 remarkable women, 15 from across the country rose to the top. Here are their stories.
