Michael Pizzi is Head of Technology and Chairman and CEO of the Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association, and the Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. He is also a member of the Morgan Stanley Operating and Management Committees.
Prior to his current roles, he served as Head of Digital Direct and Co‐Head of Equity Administration at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, leading E*TRADE’s direct‐to-consumer, digital self‐directed business and co‐leading the equity administration business.
Mr. Pizzi was Chief Executive Officer of E*TRADE Financial preceding its acquisition by Morgan Stanley in 2020. At E*TRADE, he held several executive positions, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Corporate and Bank Treasurer, as well as roles in portfolio management and derivatives.
Previously, Mr. Pizzi worked in asset/liability management at both Lehman Brothers and First Maryland Bank, as well as in capital markets research for the Federal Reserve Board.
Mr. Pizzi earned a BA in Economics from Ursinus College. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation. He serves on the Ursinus College Board of Trustees and the board of Junior Achievement of Greater Washington.
