Andy Saperstein is Co-President of Morgan Stanley. He is responsible for all Wealth and Investment Management channels as well as the U.S. Banks business and Firmwide Marketing globally. Mr. Saperstein serves on the Morgan Stanley Operating and Management Committees, as well as the Morgan Stanley-MUFG Steering Committee. He is also Chair of the Morgan Stanley Institute for Inclusion Advisory Board.
Mr. Saperstein assumed his current role in January 2024. He was named Co-President in 2021 and became Head of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in 2019. Previously, Mr. Saperstein served as Co-Head of Wealth Management and Co-COO of the Institutional Securities Group (ISG), working across the ISG businesses and coordinating initiatives with Wealth Management.
Mr. Saperstein joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 as COO of National Sales and became Head of U.S. Wealth Management following the acquisition of Smith Barney in 2009.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Saperstein served as COO of the Direct Division at Merrill Lynch and was a partner in the Financial Institutions Group of McKinsey & Company.
He graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and summa cum laude from The Wharton School and College of Arts and Sciences, University of Pennsylvania, with a dual degree in economics and finance.
Mr. Saperstein is a Board Director for Child Mind Institute and serves on the Advisory Council for Teen Cancer America. He was previously a trustee of the Morgan Stanley Foundation.
