Melissa Daniels is a Managing Director of the Morgan Stanley Expansion Platform and a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley. Ms. Daniels is based in San Francisco where she leads the Expansion Platform’s healthcare activities in addition to her expertise in software/SaaS investing. Ms. Daniels is a member of the Investment Committee for Morgan Stanley’s Next Level Fund, a fund focused on investing in Women and Multicultural founded early-stage companies, as well as a Member of the ESG Steering Committee for the Private Credit & Equity platform. She currently serves on the UNC Health Foundation Board.

Ms. Daniels joined Morgan Stanley in 2000. Previously, she served in a variety of operational and management roles within divisions of Commerce Clearing House. She has also served as staff to the Aviation Subcommittee of the US House of Representatives and to the North Carolina Secretary of State. Ms. Daniels earned a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
