Biography

Amay is a co-lead portfolio manager of the EM Core strategies on the Emerging Markets Equity team. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1997 and has 27 years of investment experience. Amay received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai. Amay is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Amay is a non-executive Board Member of Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, a foreign policy think tank based in Mumbai. He is also on the Board of Advisors of WOTR: Watershed Organization Trust a non-profit organization that focuses on creating resilient and sustainable rural communities in India. Previously he was a columnist at the Mint (a business daily in India) where he wrote a monthly column on markets and investing. He was also previously a visiting faculty member at NMIMS’ business school based in Mumbai where he led a course of Behavioral Finance for final year MBA students.
