Nirav Mehta is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and serves as Co-Head of Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia ex-China, where he leads strategic investments across India and other Asian markets, excluding China. Mr. Mehta has over 19 years of industry experience. Since joining the firm in 2009, he has played an instrumental role in establishing and developing the firm’s India private equity franchise. He led key investments in Clearmedi, Fullife Healthcare, Jana Small Finance, Maiva Pharma, Nspira, RG Stone, Ummeed Housing and ZCL Chemicals.

Mr Mehta currently serves on the board of Clearmedi Healthcare, Fullife Healthcare, Jana Capital, Maiva Pharma, RG Stone and Umeed Housing. Mr. Mehta also serves on the National PE/VC committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries, which advocates for the growth and development of the private equity and venture capital sectors in India. 

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Mehta worked for three years at ICICI Venture, where he focused on growth and buyout transactions across multiple sectors. Mr. Mehta is a native of India and is based in Mumbai. Mr. Mehta received his bachelor’s degree in commerce from St. Xavier’s College and holds an M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
