Annelies van Zutphen is a Managing Director and Operating Partner with numerous years of relevant strategy development and operational improvement experience. Prior to joining MSIP, Annelies was active as a Non-Executive Director in regulated, stock listed as well as private companies from 2015 to 2020. She was a Partner and Managing Director at the Boston Consulting Group from 2012 to 2017 and a Junior Partner at McKinsey & Company from 1997 to 2007. Annelies has a deep experience base in developing growth strategies across sectors and managing large-scale (digital) transformation and implementation projects. From 2007 to 2011, Annelies was an Executive Director at Maxeda (a multiformat retailer with approximately €3,000 million net sales, €210 million operating EBITDA, 1,360 stores and 17,800 employees), driving top- and bottom-line initiatives. She started her career at ING Group in 1995. Annelies holds a Masters in American Studies from the Rijks Universiteit van Groningen and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam.
