Biography

Olivier de Poulpiquet is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and the Chairman of MSREI. In addition to his role as Chairman, Olivier serves as a member of the Investment Committees of the NHREF and regional PRIME funds. Olivier served as the sole or Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of MSREI from 2010 until early 2022. He has 31 years of investing experience. Olivier began his career in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in 1994 and moved to MSREI two years later. He went on to serve as the Head of MSREI in Italy and later the Co-Head of European Real Estate Investing, responsible for all MSREI core and opportunistic funds in Europe. Olivier left Morgan Stanley in 2004 to join Pirelli & C. Real Estate S.p.A. as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asset Management where he was responsible for capital raising, asset allocation, investment decisions and asset management. In June 2008, he was named Pirelli RE’s Executive Board Member. Subsequently, he rejoined Morgan Stanley in May 2010. Olivier received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
