Biography

Navindu Katugampola is Global Head of Sustainability for MSIM. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2004 and has 19 years of industry experience. In his role, Navindu and his team work closely with the MSIM investment teams to help them achieve their sustainability objectives, providing insight and robust solutions to meet regulatory, product, data and stewardship requirements. Navindu was previously the Head of Green & Sustainability Bond Origination for Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets group. In this role he helped issuers raise over $80 bn in Green, Social, and Sustainability Bonds and served on both the Executive Committee and the Advisory Council of the ICMA Green and Social Bond Principles. Navindu was also previously the Head of Sovereign, Supranational and Agency Debt Origination for Morgan Stanley. Navindu earned a B.A. in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge, graduating with 1st class honours. He has successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst programme.
